A section of members of the Kenya Scouts Association Nairobi Chapter have this morning come out to support the installation of Nairobi Governor Hon. Mike Mbuvi Sonko as the Patron of the Kenya Scouts Association Nairobi Chapter.

This come is the wake of an article that featured in the Daily Nation Newpaper of 16th September 2020 written by Chief Commissioner of The Kenya Scouts Association, Deputy Chief Commissioner, Chair of the Technical Committee and Chief Executive officer of the Kenya scouts association denouncing the installation of Mr. Mike Mbuvi as patron of the scouts movement Nairobi Chapter.

Governor Sonko was officially installed as patron of the Scouts movement on 11th September 2020, Nairobi Chapter at the Railways club Nairobi in an event attended by former Vice president of the Republic of Kenya Kalonzo Musyoka and County Commissioner of the Scouts movement Ms. Alice Kiungi. A process the group was quick to point out started over two years ago in 2018. The section rebuked the article saying it was drafted with bad faith and without consultating the Nairobi chapter which has the largest membership.
