RUBIS ENERGY ACQUIRES GULF ENERGY FOR KSH36 BILLION AND KENOL FOR UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT

Energy company Rubis Energy Kenya yesterday morning launched following acquisitions of energy companies Gulf Energy and Kenol Kobil.
The acquistion places the company as third in terms of energy industry market share Kenya after Total Energy and Vivo Shell Energy.

Addressing the media at Trade Mark Hotel in Gigiri area of Nairobi, yesterday morning Group Managing Director and official spokesperson of Rubis Energy Kenya Jean Christian Bergeron said that the company had aquired other energy company Gulf Energy for USD 350 Million Ksh36 Billion. The managing director could not disclose the buy out price from Kenol Kobil which he argued is tied under a contract with a non-disclosure clause.
