PARLIAMENT WATCHDOG MZALENDO TRUST DISTANCES ITSELF FROM MIZANI AWARD

Parliament WATCHDOG Mzalendo Trust a Civil Society organization engaged in promotion of good governance through provision of a channels through which citizens can better engage leaders, and through the generation of the Annual Scorecard – an index measuring performance of elected leaders – has distanced itself from MIZANI, an organization that a month ago awarded a number of Members of National Assembly for proper use of the Constituency Development Fund CDF. Speaking during the launch of the People Dialogue Festival – an event providing a rare opportunity for Kenyans to meet, mingle, discuss with and pose questions to decision makers and the political elite in structured and moderated conversations on a range of governance, social and economic issues at the Museum of Kenya – Executive Director of Mzalendo Trust Caroline Gaita Said, ” We do not know the organization, We have never worked with them, and we have not read the report nor do we have the intention of doing so..”
