MEET 18 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO TOOK OVER ICT MINISTRY FOR A DAY

18-year-old Mary Gorretti will today take over from Joe Mucheru’s as Cabinet Secretary of Information and Communications Technology to advocate against online harassment of girls and mark International Day of the Girl.

The meeting organised by Plan International Kenya, a girls rights organisation, in partnership with the Ministry of ICT to advocate for #FreedomToBeOnline is meant to shed light on the digital divide, abuse, harassment and violence faced by girls and young women on social media platforms.’
Speaking at Teleposta towers where the event was held Mercy Chege, Director of Progrmmes, Plan International Kenya said:
