The East Africa Standby Force EASF, Elections Observer Mission, a regional election observer mission under the mechanism of the Africa Union has commended the management of the general elections Kenya 2022; terming it orderly, calm, peaceful and conducted in a professional manner.
Speaking during the release of its Preliminary report on the conduct of the general elections of Kenya 2022 at the Raddisson Blu in upper hill Nairobi Head of Mission Ambassador Claude Morrel noted; ” Priority was given to the aged and expectant women as they could not withstand the long queues. Voting was conducted in a calm and peaceful atmosphere and by 4am morning voters had arrived to vote in many polling stations with voters still in queue the time of closing allowed to vote. We however observed that in a few polling stations the proper arrangement guaranteeing the secrets of the vote was not adhered to.”
The Mission will release a comprehensive statement in the next few days.
