FORMER HOUSE HELP LAUNCHES BID FOR NAIROBI GOVERNOR

Business woman Agnes Kagure yesterday afternoon at the Kasarani Indoor Arena declared her intention to vie for the position of Nairobi Governor in the forthcoming general elections to be held later in the year.

Speaking during the launch the former house-help pledged to improve on the safety and security within the City, reorganise the city public transport system, create 200,000 jobs annually, expand manufacturing and create entrepreneurial opportunities for the rising unemployed youth. The business woman also pledged to increase efficiency in the supply of water in addition to protecting the environment through sustainable climate change initiatives.

Other candidates who have declared interest to vie for the position include Nairobi Senator Johnston Sakaja, Westlands member of Parliament Tim Wanyonyi, President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Richard Ngatia, Former Starehe Member of Parliament Bishop Margaret Wanjiru.
