COCA COLA, KICC and HOMEBOYZ RADIO PARTNER TO OFFER WORLD CUP TREAT

For only Ksh300 or about 2.97 US$ Kenyans living in Nairobi will be able to enjoy a world cup treat at the Kenyatta International Conference Center. Featuring large LCD screens and powerful surround sound Kenyans will be able to virtually experience the World Cup as if they are live in the Russia Stadia. This show will go on for the 30 day world cup period. The Goodies derived include 1 Liter of Coke, A vuvuzela, World cup Tee Shirts and various other gifts provided by other partner also involved in the initiative.
“We promised our soccer fans that if they cannot go to Russia then we will make sure Russia comes to KICC and this is the moment we are bringing Russia to KICC,” said Coca Cola Beverages East Africa Sales & Marketing Director Daniel Koech.
The Kutana KICC World Cup Festival promises a sizzling menu of activities for attendees with daily prize giveaways and a trip to one of the countries participating in the World Cup in the offing.
The festival will kick off with a magnificent street parade that will tour across the city on the eve of the tournament’s opening match in Moscow before culminating in a grand concert which will be staged at the KICC Grounds on Thursday 14th June. Fans will then be treated to an exclusive screening of the competition’s opening match between hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia.
“Our goal is to bring Kenyans together, reward Kenyans and have a good time,” said KICC CEO Nana Gecaga. “My hope is that one day we can actually have a Kenyan team at the World Cup so in this way we are planting the seed by supporting and rallying people to celebrate this iconic competition.”
